Vom 13. September bis 15. September 2023 findet die 57. Metallographie-Tagung im deutschen Sprachraum an der Montanuniversität Leoben statt, welche zugleich die 16. Internationale Metallographie-Tagung darstellt und seit dem Jahr 1963 in Leoben abgehalten wird.

Best Presentations Award
As part of the International Metallography Conference 2023, the three best conference contributions will be determined through voting by the conference participants and subsequently awarded the Struers Best Contribution Award on-site. The winners will receive a cash prize and a trophy. The awards will be presented on Friday, September 15, 2023, by Dr. Volkmar Prill, CEO of Struers, and Stefan Lintschinger, Struers Country Manager.
Best Paper Award
Buehler best paper award is an award offered to the top 3 articles from all the submissions in the year 2022 to practical metallography journal. The selecting committee have a set of criteria used to judge the best papers by taking into account the content and level of detail covered on the topic of discussion, and the level of metallography carried out and where novel approaches have been adopted to better characterise the microstructures. We at Buehler are proud to continue to support metallographers, and practical metallography journal in encouraging materials preparation and analysis.
